Real bib. Real start list. Real results board. Real medal. The only thing missing is the $90 entry, the 5am bus and the portaloo queue.
Claim your free bib →Log the run, or let Strava do it, and your name is on here before you've untied your shoes. Overall, your country against everyone else's, and your tribe's turnout.
Your route, your pace, any time inside the window. One activity, 10km or more. Walk breaks fine. 90 minutes fine. A finish is a finish and the medal doesn't care about pace. The podium does, but that's three people.
The struck-out prices are what a paid road race charges for the same things. Ours are a comparison, not a discount.
A free account, then one tap. Your name lands on the start list and 5 points land on your tribe.
Your route, your pace, any time in the race window. Treadmill, pram, slow. All good.
Log it like any run, or let Strava do it. Your time hits the board automatically.
Overall, your country, your tribe. Plus 15 points on the monthly board.
No fee to lose. No shame post. Nobody chasing you with "did you do the race?". The only way to lose this race is to not claim the bib.
Fine, I'm in →A race on the calendar turns "I should run more" into a plan. Easy runs get a job. Hard sessions get a reason. You stop negotiating with yourself at 6am.
That's why the races are free. The race isn't the product. It's the thing that makes the training stick. It costs us less to give you a bib than it costs you to skip another week.
Sunday 27 September is race day. The board stays open through the day after for anyone whose Sunday didn't cooperate. The Saturday before doesn't count: the race hasn't started yet.
Really free. No card, no upsell at checkout, no "free but". You need a Sparkies account, also free, because that's where your bib, your results and your medal live.
No. Log the run in Sparkies like any other run. If Strava is connected it syncs on its own and you don't touch anything.
Yes. Run-walk, walk breaks, whatever gets you to 10km. A finish is a finish.
Yes. One activity, 10km or more. Splitting it across two runs doesn't count. That's the whole point of a race.
Anywhere on earth. First home in your country takes a medal, and the country board gets better the more countries are on it.
Digital. Once the board closes, Ben checks the results and makes them official, and the badge lands on your profile. The 14k for Kris a fortnight later has a physical patch posted to finishers, if you want something for the wall.
When the results board does. You can claim one right up to and including race day, but claiming it now is the bit that changes how this week's training feels.
It's free, it's real, and it's yours in one tap. Run it where you live. See how your country stacks up.
